Q: Is Buddy’s Ultra Green easy to use? Are there special instructions?
A: Buddy’s Ultra Green Concrete Mix mixes with water, just like regular concrete. Normal concrete processes for mixing, handling, placement and finishing.
Q: Is B.U.G.™ as strong as traditional concrete, both during curing phase and over time?
A: Buddy’s Ultra Green Concrete Mix exceeds the performance of traditional concrete in compressive, tensile and flexural strength. Its longevity is expected to be many times greater than traditional concrete due to its use of nano–fibers, pozzolans and small particles that provide high surface density.
Q: B.U.G.™ contains only 9% Portland cement. How does this compare to regular concrete?
A: Concrete mixes commonly use a ratio of 1:2:2, referring to the use of one part cement to two parts fine aggregate (sand) and two parts course aggregate (crushed rock). Cement makes up 1/5 of this ratio, or 20%. Buddy’s Ultra Green effectively cuts the use of Portland cement in half.
Q: Can you use the BR Liquid Water Reducer, Ultra Dry Pigments and sealers with the Ultra Green Concrete Mix?
A: Yes! All of the Buddy Rhodes Concrete Products can be used with the B.U.G.™ all purpose concrete mix.
